upstairs internal doors- we should have kept to the original paint choice and we should have taken the risk and had the mid rail lower- bit disappointed- they look a bit normal

the first two coats of paint on the stove did not take , so we had no choice but to strip it off and start again.........., we have now got some paint thinners so it should be fine next time

PETE AND I SPENT THE LAST 2 DAYS AND NIGHTS PAINTING ALL THE SKIRTING AND ARCHTRAVE, AND WE DID IT 3 COATS ON EACH, AND WE HAVE GOT IT DRYING HERE.....

TODAY ITS ALL ABOUT THE ELECTRICS -IF YOU'RE GONNA WORK TILL MIDNIGHT (I HAVE SEEN IT ON GRAND DESIGNS!!) YOU HAVE GOT TO BE ABLE TO SEE!

NEXT COUPLE OF  WEEK ITS GOING TO BE REALLY BUSY WITH DELIVERIES WE WILL HAVE APPLIANCES DELIVERED 2 DAYS, A LOAD OF LIGHTBULBS FROM OVERSEAS, THE PLASTER COVING, THE KITCHEN DOORS AND THE BAMBOO WORK TOP .............................................. AND THE GUYS ARE COMING ON TUESDAY TO MEASURE UP FOR THE WHITE CORAIN TOP.

 

NEXT WEEK PETE IS GOING TO HANG ALL OF THE UPSTAIRS DOORS SO WE CAN START TO PAINT THEM, AND THEN THE FLOOR THAT HE CONCRETED IN THE PANTRY WILL BE READY FOR TILES, AS WILL THE HEARTH IN THE NO TOY LOUNGE, THERE IS STILL LOTS TO DO AND WE ARE REALLY JUGGLING ALL THE OTHER STUFF WORK AND KIDS ETC BUT I AM SURE WE WILL BE ABLE TO GET IN WHEN WE WANT TOO AND BURN THE CARAVAN DOWN ON BONFIRE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

FLOOR DONE, I DIDNT HAVE THIS MUCH ENERGY BY THE TIME WE HAD FINISHED OILING IT HOURS LATER!

WE HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT THE POSITION OF THE ISLAND UNIT, HENCE THE IMPROVISED WORKTOP!

WE ORDERED ALL OF THE APPLIANCES YESTERDAY!

................its great that we have been able to get the dogs to help choose the carpets!!, hope they don't notice all the dog hairs when we take them back, the man from Kings came out to measure today, he was nicer than the chap in the showroom, but then Saddam , Hitler and Osama, would have seemed positively pleasant compared to him!

Pete and I have stained all of the floor board for the kitchen and family room

and he has started to lay them down, (with a bad back - come on Pete just work through the pain!!!)
