Another busy day on site! they had to build a bridge over the trench at the front to enable them to dig a square footing to support the stairs- and if you think driving across the bridge in the digger looks dodgy that is nothing compared to the massive cliff edge the digger sits on as they started to dig the hole for the rain water harvester this afternoon. ( it is being dug earlier than planned mainly because of restricted access to the back garden as the house starts to go up)
The floor looks good from tuesday and we had another load of concrete delivered this afternoon for the trench at the front of the house, there are still a couple of trenches left to dig, and then the floors in the Lounge, hall, Porch, Study, Utility and Laundry will need to be built up and laid. Pete has spoken to Harlows today and arranged deliverey for the frame etc next week, you wonder quite how much there will be as it's being delivered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday!
Tomorrow they are planning to finish the hole for the rain water harvester and concrete in the chain that holds it down and stops it floating away!!!
